Visiting the Spa should be enjoyable and relaxing, sometimes it can be a little daunting knowing what to expect, what to wear or bring if you havent been before so we've put together some information to help ease you into our world of Bannatyne Spas which are useful for first time Spa goers as well as more seasoned Spa visitors!
First of all just tell us below which sort of Spa visit you have booked, a treatment only booking, a Spa Day (with a treatment & use of the Health Club facilities), or a Spa Break (including treatments, use of the Health Club facilities and an overnight stay).
What type of Spa visit have you booked?
Treatment Only
We offer a wide range of treatments in our Spas, please note that all treatments booked and "hands-on" time are subject to medical status.
We reserve the right to refuse treatments if we feel it is not in the best interest of the client, especially if there has been surgery within the last 3-6 months. We will endeavour to offer an alternative treatment to the client if any risk is presented by the medical consultation feedback. We have 'The Power Of Touch' (TPOT)/Wellness for Cancer therapists qualified in treating clients who may be undergoing treatment for cancer and other conditions.
We have therapists qualified in ELEMIS Peaceful Pregnancy Massage, this unique pregnancy massage is profoundly nurturing and tranquil. Performed on a bed of comfy pillows, mothers-to-be are lulled and restored to optimum wellness. This treatment is the only body treatment we are able to perform on pregnant guests.

Guest Forms: We ask that all guests fill in our medical questionnaire form prior to their treatments. You can download and print this form to fill in prior to the day. Please click here to download the form.
Age Restrictions: We offer a limited range of Teen Treatments; an adult must be present in the room whilst these are performed. Teens aged 16-17 can be booked in for a Spray Tan providing a parent/guardian in is the club whilst the treatment takes place.
What to wear: Therapists are trained to respect client’s modesty at all times, for facials we recommend you remove your upper body clothing, for massages please leave underwear on you will be covered by a towel throughout the treatment.
If you are having a spray tan please wear loose dark clothing.
For pedicures please bring along a pair of flip-flops or sandals.
Treatment room availability: Some of our locations offer dual treatment rooms where we are able to accommodate two guests having their treatments at the same time in the same room. If you have a preference on your room type, whether it be dual or single, please contact us prior to your booking so we can note this preference.
Please be aware that this preference is not guaranteed however we will always do our utmost to accommodate your request.
Preferred therapist availability: If you have a preferred therapist, please contact us to discuss availability.

Valuables Disclaimer: Lockers are available within our health clubs, however, we recommend that you leave any valuables at home, as we cannot be held responsible for any loss incurred.
Wi-fi & Mobile Device Use: All of our locations have WiFi available. Please respect other guests privacy when using devices in communale areas, devices are not to be used in changing areas.
Spa Day
What facilities can I use? Spa Day guests (subject to package details) receive full use of our Health Club & Spa facilities. This includes all of those detailed as well as unlimited use of our state of the art gym floors and equipment during your visit. You can also join in with our classes, we run a daily programme which include: Les Mills Body Balance for those that want to continue the relaxation, a Spin Class or Body Attack/Pump for those wanting a more high energy day! Classes are subject to availability on the day and cannot be pre-booked by Spa guests.

What should I bring: For spa days please ensure you bring gym wear and swimwear, so you can take full advantage of all of the facilities on offer to you as part of your package.

A spa bag* containing a robe, a towel and footwear are available for a hire charge of £16 per person, payable on the day. Upon return of your robe and towel, a refund of £10 per person will be administered.**
*Certain packages may include complimentary spa bags.
**Prices differ at Bury St Edmunds, Kingsford Park and Charlton House. At these locations, a spa bag containing a robe, footwear and a towel is available for a hire charge of £20.00 per person. Upon return of your robe and towel, a refund of £10 per person will be administered.

Spa Etiquette
Clients are requested to wear suitable attire at all times during treatments and whilst using facilities in the club. Disposable pants and boxer shorts can be provided for you on request. Whilst dining in the café bar area robes may be worn, but wet swimwear is not permitted. When using the pool and gym facilities appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn. In the pool area place towels and robes on hooks provided not on sun loungers. In the pool area, please shower before using and between facilities. Please return robes to reception before leaving. At all times please be respectful to the members of the health club and ask for help if needed. Disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated. Please ensure you abide by club rules during your visit.
Do all locations have loungers/seats by the pool?
Our locations have a limited number of seats/loungers by the pool for our guests to relax in, we request that you do not leave your belongings on these to ‘reserve’ them. Belongings may be moved to a safe place at the location’s discretion, please enquire at reception.

Payment/Changes/Cancellations : Our cancellation policy is clearly detailed at the point of reservation and within our booking confirmation emails.
We ask that any amendments to the date/time of your booking are made no less than 48 hours in advance of the allocated treatment time. Booking a treatment or spa day package direct with Bannatyne Spa creates a voucher for payment, which is non-refundable if cancelled, but may be redeemed against another future booking if cancelled with greater than 48 hours notice.
