Do the cups leave marks?
You may have seen celebrities sporting what are commonly referred to as "cup kisses". These large marks can be left by Chinese (glass) cupping where heat is used to suction a cup to the skin for several minutes.
During a Bellabacci cupping massage I ensure the cups are moved around frequently, and the suction adjusted appropriately. Whilst on the move there is no likelihood of any marking. Occasionally cups can be "parked" in a congested area for a minute or so to really work deeply in that area. Any marks occurring from that are toxins brought to the surface of the skin. They are not bruises, and ordinarily disappear by the time the treatment is over. If an area is incredibly congested then a faint coloured patch may stay after the treatment. This happens rarely and these toxins will drain away over a few days.
What does it feel like?
Despite working so deeply, the suction feels very gentle and can be incredibly relaxing. There is often a gentle warming sensation surrounding the area being worked on.

What should I avoid after cupping therapy?
For 4–6 hours after cupping therapy, you should avoid caffeine, alcohol, sugar, meat, dairy, extreme temperatures, and intense exercise.
